Spring 2015 Grants Awarded

The Grace Foundation of Destin Board of Trustees is pleased to announce that $30,000 in Grants were awarded for the Spring 2015 Grant cycle. 

 

There were a total of fifteen (15) Grants awarded for local, regional, and international initiatives.

Asha Mission Society 

 

The grant will be used to purchase a one acre parcel of land to build a children's home in Kolkata, India.  The home will serve poor, abandoned, and forgotten children.

S4P Synergy

 

Striving for Perfection Ministries will use the Grant to help fund a Feast Fit for a King Royal Thanksgiving Feast for Seniors Citizens in November 2015.

Evergreen Lutheran Church

 

They will use the Grant to fund a significant shortfall of funds, assisting in school progams and for upkeep of the school and church.

Hopewell Project

 

The grant will be used to help build a 20' X 20' Chapel that will house a sick bay, and seperate rest rooms for girls and boys.  The Chapel will provide a clean, healthy, and safe environment in which the children can do morning devotionals and after-school Bible studies.

Children in Crisis

 

Grants will be used to implement

a  new program for teens (13-17) and young adults (18-22) in which they will learn skills needed for success after aging-out of the foster care system. 

 

Eastern European Mission Trip

 

The grant will be used to assist with the expenses to bring a pastor from Estonia to Grace Lutheran Church to learn sklls needed to share the word of God in Estonia, and build a church.

 
Friends of Refugees

 

The Grant will be used to support the Summer Spectacular Camp for children of refugee families in Clarkston, Georgia.

Holy Kidz Camps

 

The Grant will be used for scholarships for kids in need, in order to plant the seeds of faith in thier hearts as they build friendships and memories that will last a lifetime.

Nicholas Wind

 

The Grant will be used to assist with expenses for his stay in China. The purpose of his stay is a blended christian-based academic course of study along with missionary training at the Trinity International Schoool in Dongguan, China.

 
Grace Lutheran Church 

 

Five (5) grants were awarded to support Summer 2015 Vacation Bible school, the Mothers of PreSchoolers (MOPS) program, Kaleo Banquet, a Parish Nurse, and Church T-shirts.

Nathan Kight

 

The grant will be used for the expenses for attending YWAM (Youth with a Mission) Training in Perth, Australia.  The YWAM Discispleship Traiing School seeks to bring students into a more intimate relationship with God.
